Coconut Oil

It is a natural oil extracted from the meat of the coconut, native to tropical zones, and very rich in vitamins and emollient active ingredients. It is also packed in saturated fatty acids, mildly fragrant and very nourishing. It is excellent for helping to take care of curly hair, particularly when dry or brittle, and controlling hair that tends to become frizzy.

It is really effective when used on hair stressed by the sun and salt during the summer. It can be used in the form of a pre-shampoo mask or on damp lengths and ends, avoiding the roots.

As a super moisturiser: improve the hydration of your curls by adding a few drops of this oil to your regular mask.

As a pre-shampoo: apply the oil to curls before shampooing, leave in place for a few hours, then wash.

To shine/revive curls/nourish: apply a few drops of the oil to curls every day to keep your hair hydrated and looking radiant.

Remember that coconut oil solidifies at around 15-20°C; as such, in the winter you will have to heat it up, for example in a bain marie, in order to use it as a hair mask.
